My cousin, who has a four-year-old son, has apparently been diagnosed with cancer. This whole not-starting-out-with-a-plot business is rather invigorating; most of what pops into my mind ends up on the page, which I'm not saying leads to an increase in quality, but it makes the whole thing much...freer than it felt last year. I want a cupcake. Badly.

Four classes. Four colors. Four mascots. Countless decorations. Four hours spent decorating the quad/student center. One trivia competition, one dance competition, one party competition, ONE WINNER.

I miss baking so freaking much. I wish there were some place where I could just...rent a kitchen. Maybe I can find a family to babysit for that'll let me use theirs?
