they're advertising on tv here a mp3 player, pre-loaded with an entire "library" of classical music, with a built in rechargeable battery that can be plugged into the wall socket - no need for a computer. I guess they're aiming at the "what do we buy computer-phobic Dad this year?" market.
I couldn't quite believe that I have to charge this thing up with a computer, but there ya go...
I had a bunch of mp3's saved to my computer already--random stuff that I had picked up along the way--and downloaded them all into the player, which of course, shuffled them into alphabetical order.
It's hilarious!
But really nice to know that I can have a bunch of music on here that I like, without having to switch CD's or being held hostage by the whims of a radio DJ...
Paul said something about that last night, because this thing has issues with charging up on my computer while it has no problems with his at all, so rather than be plugged into his computer all the time, the little thing-y would be able to do it without tying up his port.
OT question - I usually soak raisins in rum for my carrot cake - if I started soaking them now, and stuck them in the fridge until Sunday, do you think they would get slimy?

It's like I've forgotten how to have fun on my own.

They'll be good and soft, but alcohol is a preservative, so they won't get nasty.

Besides, he's my favorite playmate, and I find myself feeling very much like I used to when my best friend hadn't arrived in the sandbox yet! ;-)
Oh, well--soon soon.
