This mp3 player thing is really kind of fun...
I know, I know--"Welcome to the 21st century, Belle..."--but seriously, the thing is so small and cunning and strange that I wondered about my ability to learn how to work one. And yeah, I'm still figuring it out and most definitely have not mastered it, but I'm finding it freakishly hilarious to find "Smoke On The Water" cheek to jowl with "Somewhere Beyond The Sea"...
Oh yes--the weirdness that is my head.

Have to go to the grocery store--picking up a duck for New Year's Day, as well as some sundry stuff to get us through the next couple of weeks...
We have reached the "pasta AGAIN?" stage of the holiday season...;-)
We have two extraordinary meals still to go--but after that, it's the Robert's family equivalent of beans and rice until the level of the bank accounts return to normal.

I'm really enjoying this time off, but at the same time, the fact that Paul has had to work every day since Christmas and will be working every day except New Year's day has made it not as much fun as it could have been.
And yeah, I know that sounds co-dependent and pathetic, but it is what it is.
