I just watched Moon and am now terribly depressed. Not that it was bad--I enjoyed it, even though I was horribly spoiled (they lied! They said it wasn't a big spoiler but it was the entire point of the movie wtf)--it was just not cheerful. Yes! That's part of the reason I've never watched it. Because the names seem slightly too ridiculous to be believable. I agree about Kahlen, though.

Apparently it's based on some Terry Goodkind stuff, whom I've never been able to bring myself to read. It's right on the edge of cheesy and entertaining, though, so maybe it will end up being fun!

I've seen (or at least sat at my computer through) random episodes of Legend of the Seeker- Spouse tends to watch it if he happens to be home and not watching endless American sport. The first couple I thought were ridiculous, but I warmed to it after a bit. They have some vaguely interesting plot lines.

That's good to hear. Because yeah, the opening ones are pretty cheesy, but have just enough to keep me interested . . .

Wait, no it's good! I liked it except for the over-the-top sad music--most of it was lovely, and definitely melancholy.
