I've been slowly reading both The Omnivore's Dilemma and In Defense of Food, by Michael Pollan. In the latter book he sums up pretty much everything one needs to do in terms of good nutrition as : Eat food. Not too much. Mostly Plants. 
He really as something there.  I've lost all the weight I have by basically following this rule of thumb.  I've ( Read more... )

I loved both those books. I liked Omnivore's Dilemma much more than the other one, I think because it seemed like "in Defense of Food" repeated a lot of what was said in OD and a lot of what I already know. However, they are both good reads and good advice, for sure!

I may have to read The Omnivore's Dilemma - it's been suggested by several people I know and sounds really interesting.
