So, I finally got it! Trixie is being retired for my 2003 Honda CR-V EX. She's blue w/ a sunroof and power everything! The coolest thing about it is all the little storage compartments it has. As of today, I have completed day 3 of my job at the fabulous AIU. I have to get up at 6 a.m. and I leave around 7 to ensure that I'll get to work by 9. The drive really isn't too bad, but again after three days, I'm just glad I have a job! We'll see how I like the commute in a month ( Read more... )

I went shopping for work clothes tonight and I must say it went smashingly. I've gone down two pants sizes since I last shopped for clothes. I got a really cheap skirt at Kohl's along with the sexiest pointy-toed black leather boots ever! Kohl's had a buy one get one free deal going on, so I also got a versatile pair of black shoes free! I start on the 24th at AIU Online, the same company Squirrel works for, but a different office! I'll receive an ample salary, full benefits, 401k, and stock options. The company's doing really well and they keep expanding. I have to drive to Hoffman Estates which means it's time for a new car since ol' Trixie has close to 150,000 miles on her. ( Read more... )

So my parents are in the Apostle Islands for their 35th wedding anniversary and my other two aunts are in Florida this week. So, this leaves my 94 year old grandfather all alone for the whole week.
