They really do!! It's amazing how much they all appreciate being part of Arashi instead of taking it for granted, but this is a very unique take on that-- and it does hit you straight in the heart. He manages to be matter-of-fact about his weaknesses, which is unusual, but also turns them around and look at them from a perspective of growth, which is even more unusual.
Like I've already said on Twitter earlier, you are truly amazing for trnaslating this. And so quickly as well! I cannot thank you enough, for all your hard work and all you do for the fandom and Nino wifeys like myself. I feel very emotional reading this interview because while I can understand where Nino is coming from, at the same time it is sad that he's never known anything other than being an idol. But then as he professes himself, he would've most likely rotted away playing games all day and all night. Ugh, even so... I just feel for him so deeply. I will shut up now, this comment is turning into a blog haha :)
You're welcome, Debby! :) I read the interview and I couldn't stop my fingers from translating, hehe.
This definitely hits an emotional chord for a lot of us, I think. It reminds me of all the little things Nino has said in the past about what Arashi means to him. I think he's right; his whole world is Arashi, and outside of it, he would have never felt whole or worth anything... which is why I am so, so grateful that he finds joy in what he does, that he was fated to be with the other four. <3
wow Nino, you hold such high regard for your idol job, thats really admirable! Its like being an idol has saved him and its precious (I am sure its the case for the rest but I am totally bias when it comes to Nino *muahahahahha*). It seems like he takes all the stress and work with both hands and an open mind, moreover, I love that he chooses to please people and depend on the staff members rather than looking down at them or giving them a hard time
( ... )
You're welcome! :) It was very fun reading your comment, hehe.
I like how you put it: in a way, I do believe his profession has saved him... which is why I am so grateful that he belongs in Arashi. It's not just the career itself; it's the group in which he belongs. That's the important part, I think, that he feels like he belongs. <3
I can totally see Nino becoming that "invisible" person, not having anything to do with society or make the effort to connect with other people. How interesting that he is now a catalyst for others to connect, the very thing that brings people together. :3
