5:30 p.m.: Email from troop co-leader, 15 minutes before we are supposed to meet at firehouse station for Girl Scout field trip: I've been throwing up all day; I'm sending my husband with the kids, good luck.

1. Finished a book in a hurry so I can start my January new book club book. (I feel like I want to have drinks with Stephen King. Such a fascinating man.)

I am nearly caught up with Breaking Bad. I caught the first four seasons on Netflix and the first two episodes of the fifth on On Demand. The other ones will record soon.

In the meantime I have started The IT Crowd and nearly wet my pants from laughing. (The woman who plays Jen is in another show I just got done watching, Doc Martin.)

It's taken me awhile, but I have wholeheartedly embraced DVR and Netflix.

I find that I rarely watch network shows (a notable exception was LOST) but now I am starting Breaking Bad. It's somewhat of a departure for me, because no one is British and it's not science fiction. I've been impressed so far, but I am only three episodes in. I was pretty ( Read more... )
