Vision and embroidery

I was embroidering in the van yesterday and the day before...and was saying how dim things were and how much I need Old People Glasses to see the little stuff. I was telling Husband that the points of the needles and the holes in the fabric and the entry points of the stitches and such were SMALLER than they used to be. Really. Even when I ( Read more... )

::snerk:: I've done that kind of thing before. My vision isn't too bad, so I've sat squinting at a book for 10 minutes before realizing that I didn't have any glasses on at all.

Amazingly, when you wear your prescribed lenses, it's easier to see. Crazy.

Well, I WAS wearing my Rx glasses...just with the sunglasses on over them.

aww...being able to SEE what you're working on is overrated!!

It really is amazing though, just what you can see while sitting in a car, when you remember to take your sunglasses off [you can even *gasp* READ DIRECTIONS!! hee]

Directions? Aw...who needs THOSE? ...Especially since Hubs now has a talking GPS. I want SO BADLY to make a GPS app (for which I have ZERO skill or ability, and so can't) that, after the first 2-3 times of saying "Recalculating," starts saying, "Why do you even have me on? You never listen. This area has already been discovered. You're doing it WRONG!"

And they *were* the sunglasses that clip/magnet onto my glasses...but...yeah.
