tzikeh directed me, for my first time, to FARK for a thread with an image challenge to find a topic and find four images that matched the four US pres/vp candidates. I'm VERY good at those test things of "airplane is to runway as ship is to ____" analogies. So I was really baffled by finding that I just plain COULD NOT UNDERSTAND most of these. I was an avid watcher of M*A*S*H as a kid... my father was obsessed with the show, and have since re-watched on the Paramount Comedy channel - and I have NO idea who Colonel Flagg is! Was he a regular character?

Colonel Flagg was the MP guy who was convinced he was CIA and would come through saying that they all had to pretend he had a different name, and would "hide" and do "surveillance" in ridiculous places. He was the one who came one ep and said, "I am the wind," (because no one could see him) and, right at the end, whooshed out, moving like the wind, and then there's a clatter and Hawkeye says wryly, "'The wind' just broke his leg."

I think he was recurring 3-6 times.

Must. Get. M*A*S*H icon.

LOL @ Hawkeye.

I think someone over on icons100 did a series on M*A*S*H... you have inspired me to change my 'Friends' post pic anyway ;)

I'm not crazy about the Farscape one - poor Jool, she gets beat up a lot - but I love the green lantern one and the train one, and the stethescope one, while really mean is really funny.

M*A*S*H was one of Dad's favorite shows. We watched it when it originally aired. We watched the reruns. The whole family watched the final episode together. We even valliantly tried to watch the spin-off. I'm sure there's plenty about it I've forgotten, but it probably wouldn't take much to jog my memory.
