Anagrams, pop culture meets politics, image style

tzikeh directed me, for my first time, to FARK for a thread with an image challenge to find a topic and find four images that matched the four US pres/vp candidates. I'm VERY good at those test things of "airplane is to runway as ship is to ____" analogies. So I was really baffled by finding that I just plain COULD NOT UNDERSTAND most of these. Some ( Read more... )

"The wind just broke his leg."

Really, it's an unforgettable moment for me. ;-)

*grin*

And, yeah, I KNOW you know. *grin*

I can spend HOURS just going on and on to me about, "Remember when, remember when..." with scenes and lines from the show.

I was going to say that one, too. :-)

(I wonder if Kermit knows Flagg?)

Name, sight-- I'd know Flagg either way.

I watched on-air, and tons in reruns.

I'm really curious to see how many folks in our age group DO know M*A*S*H backwards and forwards.

I need a M*A*S*H icon.

Hallmark was running the episodes uncut for a while (they might still be, but if they are I've lost track), and I was surprised at how much was in there that I didn't remember. Little stuff, but still-- even if I saw an original ep years ago, I've been watching them in reruns for so long that the little stuff they've cut out has long since left my bad memory.

G and I used to play a version of "name that tune"-- how quickly could we ID an episode? Hee.

I have done the name-that-ep game for years too.

I LOVE our box set...getting to see uncut eps, with the laugh track turned off...it's pure joy.

Flagg was the CIA nutter, wasn't he? It's been forever since I watched M*A*S*H though.

That he was. And I really think (and need to ask outside of just fannish circles, where there is a STRONG skew toward remembering these kinds of details from TV-anything) that LOTS of folks born in the 1955-1975 range just KNOW this show.

Man, you'd think as often as I *watched* M*A*S*H growing up, that I'd know it better than what I do. hehheh. [though the scene where Radar comes in and tells of Col. Blake's crash STILL brings me to tears. I know, I recently saw part of a special on M*A*S*H, and that scene was in it]

Ahhh Flagg...didn't he, like, shoot himself or something once, as an "escape"? Geez, it's bad, I don't remember the details anymore, I just remember the guy was cheezy and quite the flake. Lots of the guest-star thing going on there....as I recall, wasn't Soon-Tek Oh and Pat Morita both guests?

I adore Col. Flagg. His episodes are some of my favorites.

Myria has fallen in love with MASH. It's her favorite thing to watch in order to de-stress.

We have all of them on DVD -- however, *she* has claimed them and I doubt I will ever get them back.

Not only do we watch them on DVD, but it's currently running on Hallmark every day from 4 to 6 (I think) and it's the one thing we always turn on.

Yeah...you're never getting those DVDs back. :-)

I just adore this show.
