My two friends who live Tokyo are at Narita Airport now, spending the night there waiting for their flight to Germany. I'm so glad they decided to come back home. Who knows what is going to happen in Japan within the next days!

Hundreds of deaths confirmed, far more than 10.000 people missing...
There was an explosion in the nuclear power plant in Fukushima, but nobody really knows if there is a nuclear meltdown already and how much radioactive fallout was spread. Only a few information leaks through and you can never know whether it is right ( Read more... )

It was 7.30 in the morning when I saw the news on TV, only 45 minutes after it happened.
A magnitude 8.9 earthquake occured near Sendai in the Northern East of the main island Honshu and caused a Tsunami today. It's the worst earthquake ever recorded in Japan, so the news say.
That's so horrible!

On September 1st, my friends Beccy and Chrissy went to Japan for a whole year!
They are going to live and study there (by now, they actually are).

Until now, we studied Japanese Studies at Bochum University together and had lots of fun!
We went to Karaoke, made Purikura, and enjoyed Japanese music and Dorama together.

We went to our favourite Sushi-Restaurant called "Maruyasu" in Düsseldorf.
Because the Chef already knows us, we get a portion of Gyouza for free everytime we go there!

Recently, the FIFA World Cup occures in Africa!

To be honest, usually I don't watch soccer (or any other sports), but the World Cup is a special event, isn't it?
That's why I watch all the matches of my favourite teams.
(Provided that I have enough time to do so, of course!
