Annoyed that in real life, nobody ever gets to say their piece. Nothing is ever let loose in an uncontrollable rage, nothing is ever finally said out loud. In 'polite society' nobody ever hears the truth, and everything is finished without closure.

But does one just enjoy the effects of being an obligation, or does knowing one is an obligation negate those effects? And how much does the annoyance to the obliged matter?

Why does the obliged feel obligated in the first place? If the motivation isn't purely good then can the reaction be purely selfish? :]
