Whee! This writing thing, it's kinda fun. :P Two Dark Knight drabbles because, you know. That movie made my brain explode in at least six awesome ways.

Title: Spring
Rating: Eh. PG?
Characters/Pairings: Gordon and his parents.
Summary: Gordon’s mother, pale and thin and startlingly loyal, will not pack her bags. “One more spring,” she says.

Aww! Thank you!

But her son, her son stays. Next spring, he knows, will be beautiful.

Oh, cripes. Gordon. I can totally see that, too. The whole thing really just...man, that's canon for me from now on.

cops and robbers, pirates, and 'trial' once, because she insisted

Aww, Rachel. Whole thing was adorable and bittersweet as heck.

Thank you!

He just keeps going. It's a little crazy, but a lot endearing. And he must have a reason! I'm glad you like the one I came up with, haha. :]

Thanks again! I'm really glad you liked them. :]

It's insane. God, do I love characters like that, who go through hell and, you know, just keep going. He's brilliant. The kind of upraising he must've had...

Thanks for writing them!

He faked his own death and that was THE LEAST OF HIS PROBLEMS. You know you've got a stubborn one, at that point. :P

The kind of upraising he must've had...

Yeah, his childhood must have been...I don't even know. This is one tiny bit of what I think, this drabble, but obviously Gotham has meant a LOT to him for a very long time. I wonder how he'll raise his kids? To stick it out in Gotham or to do better somewhere else? I mean, do you think he stays because he feels he has to, or because he actually wants to? Because I think that would change how he raised his own kids.

Okay. I'm going to stop rambling now. :P

Ok, now, you need to write more of these, because AWESOME.

I like the idea of the second one, but, I don't know, I guess I just don't like Bruce/Rachel (more on that in the entry I just posted). But it sounds like them.

And the first one is great. That's just, I can really see that, and I love that it makes him so much like Bruce. And that's why he's an honest cop when none of the others are, because he loves the city despite the crime that broke his family, just as his mother did. It's perfect. :D

I'm not sure how much I like Bruce/Rachel, but I'm just really interested in what she means to him, and how differently they see each other, and what they each think might happen there. I don't know. :P

Exactly. :D He doesn't care that her loyalty to the city, in a lot of ways, killed his mom -- it's just ingrained in him. Gordon is really fascinating, and I'm dying to explore different possibilities for why he is the way he is. I'm really, really glad you liked it. :D
