My bag is ready and all of my electronic gadgets are packed away. There's only the essentials to toss in in the morning before we leave. I check into the hospital at 530am and have surgery scheduled at 8am. What a way to spend Thanksgiving....

Wow, forgot to post that I made it out of the hospital. I was finally released on August 30th. I'm SO HAPPY to be out. I had an appointment on Tuesday with Wound Care and I no longer have to have the major abscess packed!!!!! I also, FINALLY, got the stitches removed from the stoma revision that had been done on August 17th. THAT HURT! These ( Read more... )

I'm still in the hospital. At this point I'm getting the abscesses packed and sitting here soaking up antibiotics. The goal is for me to go home either on Monday or Tuesday. I go into the hospital on Wednesday for a couple of things so I started off my morning by tidying (?sp) up my areas as they had started to sprawl and spread. Had an appointment with my Gastroentrologist today. He's sending me to an Endocrinologist about my issues with the blood pressure and the PICC line. The CAT scan did show that I have a pelvic abscess so I'm to stay on the Flagyl and we are hoping that the drain that they placed will help heal it.
