Thankfully, Walmart is just up the road from us as mom and I had to brave the roads to go and get dog food for the girls.  The roads seems to be worse today than they were several days ago as the snow has packed down and iced over.  All together we got about 8-10 inches depending on where you measure and most of it is still around 4 days later.  On ( Read more... )

Woot, the baby passed her advanced class and now has her CGC certificate!!!!!  She is now AKC Canine Good Citizen certified which means she has basic good manners.  It's the first step for a lot of others things like showmanship, therapy dogs, and service dogs.  Technically your dog can not be a Service Dog until they are 2 years old.  Eventually ( Read more... )

I have been suffering from a bit of a flair-up.  My joints, bones, and muscles have been hurting something awful.  My right shoulder has been especially bad.  It BURNS!  I think it is due in large part to the weather and how it keeps doing a yo-yo change.  I have also been fatigued beyond belief.  I have so many things on my to-do list to get done ( Read more... )

Had a visit from a product nurse this morning who came to show mom and I how to administer the new chemotherapy medication that I should be starting any day. I'm not looking forward to it for 2 reasons...it is administered cold and you have to hold it in for 10 seconds. I have read a lot of things on Crohn's that states to keep stress as low as possible in order to keep flares down. In order to keep the stress low, don't call Customer Service or Billing departments! =p Definitely one way to get the stress meter HIGH. On Monday, tygati and I  went way out South Eugene to Sunrise Asian Food Market.  Sadly they were more expensive thank Kings Asian Market even though they were much larger and carried a more varied selection.  They did have Koala's March and apparently tygati has been looking for them for quit a while so that was awesome!
