Spent yesterday in a sleep coma. I think it's a pretty good bet that I've had a bug! *ick* I've certainly spent enough time sleeping.
Today mom and I went to Winco and bought a few groceries. I usually hate going to Winco because it's always so crowded and people are usually so rude and pushy. When I've gone there in the past I have usually left feeling bruised, battered and pissed off beyond measure. It's surprising how rude people can be even if you are walking with a cane and how they will just run into you and not even care.
I was having a really hard time moving around this morning so mom took out the wheelchair when we got there and I used my feet and hands to wheel around and it was pretty cool. I actually had fun shopping around today. There were still some people who were rude and didn't care about running into you or pushing into or around you, but there were also quit a few people who were extra helpful because of the wheels.
I was even able to take a little walk around the apartment complex with mom and the puppies. Ruby and Mia loved it. We hooked them up to their extender leashes and they got to run and run. We even ran into a couple of guys that had fun laughing at the dogs. One guy asked me if he could mate my Shih Tzu to a Bulldog so that he could then have a Bull Shihtz. *LOL* I died laughing.
I've been trying to raise money to go to the National Ostomy Conference in Florida in August. It's going to cost us about $2700....AHHHHHH! So far I've been able to get a scholarship to pay for the registration and then this evening mom and I bought the airline tickets. Those went on her credit card and now I have to find a way to pay that off. Next thing to pay for is the hotel room. Man, I wish I were rich or at least financially stable and able to buy things and not have to worry about every little penny.
For some reason, the SEMI-permanent hair dye that I got for my bangs keeps washing out way TOO quick so I redyed my bangs this evening. The purple is back!!!! Wooohooo!
