::refrains from making comment about Greens::

I wish I could go get you soup! :( You did come and look after me after my surgery. Is your aunt on holidays now? I will totally come over and make you soup (although an instant packet will have to be involved, as this is me...).

I'm having a hard time believing this, but is Possession a stupider film than Manos: The Hands of Fate?

Oooh, that'd be a close call actually. Possession at least has Jeremy Northam to perve at - so it wasn't all bad. There were some redeeming moments, but it's obviously a really poorly edited film - the book must have been huge, because they have to try and convey travelling through micro-second snippets of "We're going over the ocean in a big boat - look to the camera and smile!" And they have to build the central relationships up really really fast - and they do that by making the characters look to the camera and smile. Well, obviously they are in love, are you blind or something? Meh, it was just irritating - because it could have been really good, but it just fell way flat ( ... )

Well, I have homework to do as well. Reading, anyway. Maybe we could have self-disciplined reading times? Or I oculd do your reading, and you could do mine! Switch it up a bit...

Anyway, I have to go to the doctor tomorrow (in frakking Glen Waverly) so I can't come over anyway, but maybe I could get my mother to drop of off on the way back? Actually, can I stay over Wednesday? Because A History of Violence isn't on at crown until 8.20, so I will have to stay at someone's house...

I guess that could work. As long as you promise to force me to do it, even if I kick up a fuss and whine to high heaven. Which I am quite likely to do.

(I don't even know where Glen Waverly is) So, hold on. You'd come over tomorrow? As in Tuesday night? That'd be fine - I finish uni at three, so I should be home by, uh, three-thirtyish. The chair is gone from the front porch, so would you be able to amuse yourself if you got here before me? You could water the garden :P And yes, you are more than welcome to stay Wednesday too!

I cant say that i have seen or read possesion. However the sheer amount and quality of the bookshelves that i have seen it on tell me that it is a shocker and would have very few redeeming features. So yeah. I had to watch "House of the Dead" today and my lecturer had to give a preamble that the guy is widely reputed as one of the worst directors in the world and that we were free to entertain ourselves by talking in the screening, but that it was the most stupid out there film they could show us short of some kiddy porn. Tres amusement from Opeth tshirt tutor. But that said, i guess that it is a rival for the stupidest film ever title.
It was lame and i slept through it. Much like i slept through the film i went especially early to uni to watch. zzzzz....

I think perhaps that there might be some sort of sleeping sickness going around - I'm sleeping more than usual too (which means I am sleeping one hell of a lot) And everybody seems to be tired, or at least running at low gear...
House of the Dead you say? I can't say I've heard of that one, but your tutor sounds more and more awesome everytime you mention him.
As for Possesion - you're right, A.S. Byatt? I don't know why I didn't make the connection before. The kind of thing they do at pretentious middle-class ladies tea and bookgroups? With that kind of a resume, and with Gwenyth Paltow (I don't know why I dislike her as much as I do) how could the film fail? But it did, flailing so.
