I finished Code Geass yesterday. I bring fic.

Oh, you sweetie, thank you for reading this! It's angst angst angst but this is exactly how I've been feeling since I finished. Like Suzu. Broken.

So, whadya think of the series? I gotta know!

Still haven't finished it. We're gonna watch the first season closer sometime this week.

(So, yes, I spoiled myself just now. Not a problem--I knew that I would going in, and the ending is rather inevitable. I look forward to experiencing it for myself.)

I loved it. I loved season 2 so much! Loved how it was so complicated that at times we were yelling "WHO IS THIS GUY AGAIN" and "WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME." Loved how I didn't guess what the Zero Requiem was until nearly the end. About the time they said Lulu was having everyone executed. Once all that came down, then everything--Suzaku's actions in particular--made sense, and it was perfect. And the ending was gorgeous. I wept and wept. I adore that now it's fine to love Lulu UNCONDITIONALLY.

And this fic was exactly how I was feeling; I was channelling Suzu and aching, just aching.

*sniffle* That was beautiful, though. You've got Suzaku down perfect.

And, also: What did you think of the ending/series in its entirety? Other than angst angst angst, of course. I did my best not to spoil it for you, despite having watched it more than once and STILL being completely hyped up on it. My favourite bit of the last episode is Jeremiah and Anya picking oranges. (Orenji-kun, indeed.) Though Suzaku and Lelouch giving up all the happiness they might have had for the sake of world peace is right up there, too.

Jeremiah and Anya was a fabulous closing image! Oh, I loved that.

In short, I thought the series was great, I LOVED season two in particular; it just ramped things up and there were no shark-jumping moments for me. The ending broke me, because I didn't see it coming until just before. I kept trying to piece together everything--Lulu abusing power like an insane thing and Suzaku FOLLOWING him, wtf--and then it all came together at the end and made perfect sense. And yet there was still so much unpredictability; Lulu didn't have one master plan that took care of everything. There was still Nunnaly and Damocles and those couldn't be masterplanned away--they took brute force and a war.

And OH, Lelouch. OH, Suzaku.

OH, LuluSuzu.

I wasn't entirely sure what the end result of Zero Requiem would be, but I was thinking 'Oh, he's making everyone hate him so they'll forget all the horrible things his friends did. That's one cool guy. (Even if he his wearing an awful hat.)' Especially because, earlier on, most of the 'horrible' things he did were accidents or were misinterpreted. Euphemia, the bit where the Kuro no Kishidan found out his real last name, etc.

And I loved that by the end, Suzaku was fighting more for Lelouch than for his own ideals. *hugs him* At least, that's how I saw it ( ... )

I loved the million Zeroes bit. I was thinking, "Awesome!" and laughing, "I am Spartacus!" at the same time.

And thought I would have imagined that I might not have liked all the "school slapstick" stuff, it all kind of worked within the series and I can't help but be gleeful that to Milly, every day at school should be "Gangbang Lelouch" Day.
