Most stuff I write that isn't outright smut has at least slash undertones in it. This one is no exception. Subtextual Lelouch/Suzaku.

You sweetheart, thank you! I think we have to read 'em for the same reason we have to write 'em--the characters really live in this kind of fiction, sweep us away, and their loss/hurt hurts us as much as anything can. Which is a nice calm way of saying OH LULU. OH SUZU. *sobs*

Thank you so much! And, yes, of course you may use anything you like! If it's something that you clearly think is a concept of my invention then credit is probably a wise thing (means you make a good habit out of it ^_^) but, golly, just have fun. In my own head, y'see, this whole ficlet feels like something everybody had to have been thinking--"what if Suzaku was offered the chance to cancel his Geass." :D

Oh this is beautiful. Heartbreaking, but beautiful. You have such a great grasp of Suzaku's voice here, and seeing him affirm his choice to be Zero -- heck, seeing him make that choice again -- well, I'm sniffling.

And his yearning, it is tangible. And heartbreaking, have I mentioned heartbreaking?

Oh, thank you so much! I couldn't stop this one from emerging; I had just finished watching the series and was sobbing and said, "I need to find fic of someone offering Suzaku the chance to--no, wait, I can't go looking for this, I have to just write this." And opened a new Word document and started writing that very minute. Before I'd even actually read any CG fic. (I'm like that.) Oh, I do love this series.

Oh, Lulu, Suzu. Oh, boys.

Pointed here by puella_nerdii -- solid, solid fic. Llyod is fabulous, and I love the running thread of who Suzaku isn't, how he processes Zero, how Zero is an entity all unto itself--gorgeously done. Just.

Oh, how lovely of you, thank you! I was overwhelmed, how hard I was channelling Suzaku after the ending of CG, in all the sobbing and grieving I was doing. This kinda poured out of me with the tears. ^_^ Thank you so much!
