I finished Code Geass yesterday. I bring fic.

Title: The Price of Living
Summary: Ten years after.
Categories: Drama/Angst
Words: ~1600
Most stuff I write that isn't outright smut has at least slash undertones in it. This one is no exception. Subtextual Lelouch/Suzaku.

Spoilers for the whole damn series, natch.

I wasn't entirely sure what the end result of Zero Requiem would be, but I was thinking 'Oh, he's making everyone hate him so they'll forget all the horrible things his friends did. That's one cool guy. (Even if he his wearing an awful hat.)' Especially because, earlier on, most of the 'horrible' things he did were accidents or were misinterpreted. Euphemia, the bit where the Kuro no Kishidan found out his real last name, etc.

And I loved that by the end, Suzaku was fighting more for Lelouch than for his own ideals. *hugs him* At least, that's how I saw it.

Season two was, indeed, fantastic, although I still have a very large spot in my heart reserved for Lelouch's continually awesome wiping out of enemy forces in season one. (Episode two will always be a favourite.) All hail Britannia!/Nippon banzai is wonderful, as is the 'million Zeros' bit. Jeremiah meeting Lelouch and Karen being kickass will also always be win to me. (As well as the Spinzaku your icon is from.)

The last episode was completely perfect, though. You're going along, du de du de du, then SURPRISE! OMG sadbutawesome. Then 'awww' cutesad, with scenes of Karen running off to school, Suzaku standing around being depressed in his Zero suit, Viletta and Ohgi sitting at a bar, Jeremiah and Anya picking oranges, and CC lounging on a haycart driven by a figure whose face is concealed, remarking about Geass to Lelouch . . . wait, what?

. . . Goddammit.

Yeah, that's my synopsis of the last episode right there. Including the 'goddammit' bit, because you know sure as HELL there's not going to be a season three. The paper crane thing was nice, though, because it reminds you that the series is really supposed to be about wishes and loyalty, not just immortal people with weird eyes and giant robots.

I loved the million Zeroes bit. I was thinking, "Awesome!" and laughing, "I am Spartacus!" at the same time.

And thought I would have imagined that I might not have liked all the "school slapstick" stuff, it all kind of worked within the series and I can't help but be gleeful that to Milly, every day at school should be "Gangbang Lelouch" Day.
