Friday was hard. It is so difficult to be in a place where nobody KNOWS what I have lost.
Also, I have slept for most of the hours from Friday night until now. I am afraid there is something wrong with me. Why am I so tired? I don't know if it is just from having such a hard week last week or what.

I had no school today. Not because I am sick...but because the middle school had no power this morning! I literally did a dance. I am feeling pretty much better and wanted another day of rest, but didn't want to take another day off without my students (I have a conference tomorrow). I am sick. This stinks. It all started when I woke up on Wednesday and couldn't breathe (I think that I was poisoned by a tub being relined in my building). Jay and I started to register for wedding gifts! We also have a photographer, ordered the bridesmaid dresses, have a person to handle chair covers and have a first draft of the guest list... I am sad because it seems like everybody I know is sad...except megan who likes her job again. I am getting tired of planning this wedding and just want to get on with the whole thing. Books, four of them. After that, money to buy more books. Jay's family thinks I am crazy. I had a wonderful Christmas, even if it is the first time being away from my parents for the holiday. So last night on my way home...a guy ran his car into mine. I am ok and most likely will not have to pay all of the deductible (if any of it) but I am annoyed. At least my car was bigger so had less damage.

I find myself at a time in my life where I am looking back at all the people that have been important to me and seeing that they are spread all over the country. I do not have people next door to me that I can run to when I need to vent, I have to do so via the internet or take care of myself. But, as this school year goes by, I feel more ( Read more... )
