Let me just start out by saying my husband, The Gryphon, was right. I didn't believe you could freeze wedding cake for a year and, upon defrosting it, taste cake as delicious as on your wedding day. He believed, and he was right.

The cake was a sour cream chocolate chip pound cake with raspberry filling and rolled fondant icing.
I wish I'd been there to help you eat it. It sounds divine.
