ok let me get this straight, you wear a hoodie and then wear the headlamp over your hoodie?
the reason i ask is because headlamps are not designed to stay on that way. they are designed to stay on your head or be on a helmet.

Lamp is under the hoodie. Hoodie causes the lamp to creep up the back of my head because all the weight is in the headlamp and batteries. I am hoping the design of the CREE headlamp with batteries in rear and more padding + strap over top of my head will preventr headlamp from riding down my nose.

can't you put the lamp strap OVER the hoodie, like put up the hoodie over your ears then put the headlight on over it?

See Kit's comment above.

Hoodie perpetually slides all over my ead, so lamp would also.

What would help is if I could grow me a set of devil horns on my foreheadabove my eyebrows, then put the lamp over the horns to prevent the lamp from sliding down my tender nose.
