When my cell phone finally rang, I was curled on the couch watching reruns of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy on my eighth cup of coffee.
"Hey," I murmured, my face nearly splitting in half with a drowsy smile.
"I'm walking home," Alex began, "or at least as much as you can call it walking, what with size five girl jeans and the fact that I'm somewhat incapacitated by the obscene amount of sex that I've had in the past four hours. But that's the point- I made so much money tonight, Zack. Can I take you out?"
"Not tonight, Alex."
"Why not?"
"It's one o'clock," I groaned.
"The night is young, my horror-loving friend!" he laughed. "Don't tell me you've been drinking coffee just to stay up for my phone call."
"Hope you enjoy disappointment," I giggled.
"Aww, babe," he cooed.
"Sorry," I muttered.
"Don't apologize," he exclaimed. "I'll take you out tomorrow. I'll take the night off and we can go... I don't know, what do you wanna do?"
"It's late and I'm tired," I replied.
"Oh, alright," he sighed. "Go ahead and get to bed, I'll get in with you when I get home."
"How long will you be?" I yawned.
"Give me about three minutes," Alex declared.
"Okay, see you," I managed, hanging up. I stumbled off the couch, shoved the laptop into its case, and crawled under the covers.
Not a minute later the door was unlocking and I tried to remember if I had given Alex a key or not. I didn't think I had, but a wave of cold rushed past me and a key dropped onto the coffee table. He shuffled through his bag. I listened as his coat hit the table, then his hoodie, then... his shirt?
I peered around the back side of the curtain. There was enough light to see the little shadows across his chest as he unbuckled his jeans.
Woah, Zack, go back to sleep, I thought. But something was keeping me glued to the living room. That something was probably the enormous bulge in Alex's underwear as he shuffled through his bag for his pajamas. And woah, so bad for me to be staring like I was, but Alex.
He yanked his pajama pants up around his hips, skipped a shirt, and slid past the curtain. I dropped back down to the bed and pretended to roll over like I had just woken up.
"Hey," I began drowsily.
"Don't play," he murmured. "I saw you peeking." My stomach had suddenly disappeared.
"Sorry, I was just-"
"Don't," he breathed, slipping underneath the covers, "apologize. It turns me on." The smile was audible in his voice. It was quiet for a moment as his hand found the waistband of my pajama pants and began to slide underneath it.
"Stop," I breathed, my hand on his. "I'm not hard, it's fine, Alex."
"I'll make you hard," he tried, going in for a kiss. I twisted my head.
"I said stop."
Alex pouted, shrinking slightly, then he recoiled under the covers and nuzzled into his pillow with his bare back against mine.
