Thank you. Why do you think she isn't talking to me anymore? She hasn't admitted to me a lot of things that have gone on. So I'm not sure if that's why, or guilt, or just hoping that by ignoring it she can skip parts of the grieving process.
And I can understand why it's easier for me. In some ways it's easier to play a victim, or accept being hurt, and even though I may not feel morally superior (and I'm not morally superior) she may think I am morally superior. It could even be the other person she's seeing.
I really don't think she wants to give up on our friendship, I just don't know because she isn't communicating with me.
Do you remember how David and I were friends before we dated? I was toally in love with him, but he had made it clear that he didn't feel the same way so I was trying to move on, and it was working. I had found this other guy, Matt, and we had fallen in love. We were just getting really serious. Then David told me he was in love with me and wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. I knew I had to choose David, but it didn't change the fact I still loved Matt. I was happy about the new developments with David, but heatbroken about what it meant for Matt. I didn't want him entirely out of my life, but being in love with 2 people and having both of them still in my life was too much for me. It still breaks my heart to think of him. He didn't deserve what happened in any way shape or form. He's probably happily moved on by now and rarely thinks about me (I hope) but I will carry this immense guilt and heartbreak around with me for the rest of my life.
I do. Well thank you again. It puts things in perspective. Your situation makes me realize that I should accept the fact that she probably is in love with this other person, and to be more realistic. If she wanted to be with me... she would. Pretty simple, honestly. If she wanted to talk to me.... she would.
I still have some ill feelings about how this all happened, but very little hate. I've slowly started moving on, and what you told me has helped.
