I've only read bits and pieces and I think it's the most chauvinistic text I've ever seen. And that includes Mexican Literature from the 19th Century. D:

Have you read the first chapter of the new book from Edward's POV? He is seriously psychopathic. http://www.stepheniemeyer.com/pdf/midnightsun_chapter1.pdf It is actually awesome in a horrible way.

But ugh, horrible plot/relations aside, how did you make it all the way through with Meyer's WRITING? I had not been able to finish the first book. I own the second one, but I can't get through the final few chapters of the first. It is SO POORLY WRITTEN. Like a bad fanfic.

I jumped through huuuuuuge chunks of it every chapter? I just searched for keywords and if they were present, I knew that Bella was either whining or in her EdwardIsSoPerfect mindset so I continued like that.

That and I kept passing bits of it to a friend so that we could mock it.

Soy una masoquista... lo siento xD
Aun asi Ninita, no dejes de quererme ;0;

You know... I think it's in the third book that they actually spend a LOT of time comparing Edward and Bella to the characters in Wuthering Heights. Scary, huh? I guess it's one of Bella's favorite books, and she realizes that they are a lot alike.

I've read books 2 and 3 just to laugh at them, and plan to do the same with book 4. Yes, I'm masochistic that way.

I think Edward actually says 'It's not a love story, it's a hate story' and then changes his mind so much that he and Bella exchange copies as a proof of love.
