Had the usual gathering yesterday, great fun for all. And the yummiest parts were the sweet potato dishes. On Wednesday night, I made sweet potato and zuchinni latkes, which were fabulous, and then on Thursday I rescued some 'less than the best' sweet potatoes from icky oblivion, resulting in the following recipe ( Read more... )

And this is what I sewed....its so 70s that I almost hurt myself laughing.  The fabric is this really cool red crysanthemum asian print for the body of the dress, with black yoke and bottom trim.  I'm going to put some red feather stitch with gold beads on the hem and right up around the neck.
