Miss Aliegator had her first real people meal for dinner last night! She's been managing crackers and cheerios for a while, but hasn't shown any interest in moving beyond those until now! Aliegator has TWO teeth now! And besides being very petite (20th percentile for height and weight at one year), she is a perfectly healthy little one year old girl! -
An update of sorts
I hadn't realized just how long it has been since I bragged about finishing projects until I sat down post-Christmas and realized just how much I completed in the past few months. So, here we go, a list of projects that are done, and some ideas about what comes next!

Catie's Baby Booties! That's right, there's only one more pair of booties left to go - CG#1's baby. But since the baby has not yet arrived, I feel safe in putting that off for a little bit.

Aliegator's Baptism
We had the Aliegator baptised this weekend. Originally it was going to be done by one of the associate pastors at my church, but then the head pastor got back from her trip to DC Saturday night and was at the service on Sunday. Not again!
I ran out of yarn for my sweater AGAIN! Stupid pattern not telling me the correct amounts to buy. It claimed it needed 700 yards. I'm using a comparable yarn, and I've used up 770 yards, and still need more. Hopefully though, this should be the last ball needed. I just need to sew everything together and add the collar and the buttonholes. ( Read more... ) -
The Apple Doesn't Fall Far From The Tree...
Two years ago on our honeymoon, Cawdor finally figured out why he had so much trouble with snorkling. Everytime he'd catch sight of me, he'd smile, and break the seal on his snorkel mouthpeice, earning him a mouthful of saltwater. Today, I realized that the Aliegator has the same problem - if I'm smiling at her while she eats, she'll smile back ( Read more... )
