Finished!
Catie's Baby Booties! That's right, there's only one more pair of booties left to go - CG#1's baby. But since the baby has not yet arrived, I feel safe in putting that off for a little bit.
White Eyelet Pinafore - ok, Mom really made this one, it turned out to be WAY above my sewing ability. I left the fabric and pattern for the matching dresses/hats/bloomers with her to finish up, I have no qualms about admitting when I can't do something.
Alie-gator's Sweater - this one was interesting. I tried the same pattern roughly 3 or 4 times before admitting that since I knit so loosely, it's just never going to work out right. And then I found the cutest pattern online for a crocheted one while at Mom's, only had to restart it once, and it's done! Well, so close to done that it's going on the done list, I just need to sew under the edges of the ribbon I'm using to tie it shut at the top and thread the ribbon through. Honestly, it'll be done this afternoon if Alie-gator ever decides to take her nap.
Good Night Little One - cloth book for Alie-gator. My new obsession - make her books using book panels from Jo-Ann's and Walmart instead of spending a ton on them at Borders.
In Progress
Ruby's shawl - it's cast on, and the first repeat of the lace pattern is almost done. Of course, this is the second pattern that I've tried, the first one proved a little too complicated. Hopefully with the start of football season next week I'll have more time to devote to knitting it, otherwise this won't be done in time for Christmas.
3 Cloth Books for Alie-gator, and 1 for Lilly and 1 for CG#1's Baby (can't wait until the baby has a name, btw!) - Frosty the Snowman, A Child's Book of Prayers, and Good Night Winnie the Pooh for Alie-gator, and the book of prayers for Lilly and CG#1's baby. Four of the five have been cut out and have batting cut as well, so they just need to be sewn. Pooh just was purchased today, so he hasn't even been started yet.
Still Needs to be Started
Baby Booties for CG#1's September baby
Things I'd Like to Start
Cawdor won't let me buy any yarn for a while, so I have some ideas about using up the stash. Can anyone say patchwork afghans? I have some lovely block patterns I want to try out. I think I'll crochet these though so they go quicker. And when he lets me buy for new projects, I think I'm going to teach myself sock making! Or maybe I'll be practical and take a class first? There's on in late September at the yarn shop...
