Well metaphorically speaking anyway.

I know you've all been dutifully ignoring the posts on my feeble attempts in the gym. As you have all been ignoring things you will of course have missed that I've started swimming again.

An easy way of increasing the amount of calories you take in is to swap up with some of the foods you eat - for example if you have semi skimmed milk, use whole instead; if you use margarine, change it to butter; if you have sweetener in tea or coffee, change it to sugar - if you have low fat products change them for ordinary variants. Obviously you have to keep an eye on health concerns with this too, but if you're only eating moderate amounts of the things in question anyway you shouldn't have a problem. This is a pretty good way of upping your calorie intake without really noticing.

I carry glucose tablets with me - or an emergency banana - for when I forget to eat. Not a great long-term plan but helps in dizzy situations.
