A collection of stuff
Just finished a very good book called Child of Fire. It is the first work of an author named Harry Connolly, and I'm glad to see that he's already slated for the next book. Most Beloved compares the quality of the writing to Jim Butcher's works, and I can't say he's wrong.

Looking for sunshine
Thinking about cricketbug as I write this one...
Ordered seeds for the garden a couple days ago. I'm looking forward to the shipment of lettuce mixes, Sun Gold cherry tomato seeds, and even shiitake mushroom dowels. It's cold and wet outside, and I worked rather late -- it's a good night to read a gardening book and dream about Spring. -

Many, many thanks are due to black_king! He worked with Most Beloved for days to organize our library. Over a thousand paperbacks are now alphabetized, cataloged, and re-shelved. I started reading one of today's featured communities, wtf_sexism, and was impressed. Although it does seem to have a larger feminist slant than pro-male (masculist) contingent, there is a definite implication that anything presumptive based upon X/Y chromosome (or variations thereof) is unfair and inappropriate ( Read more... ) -
