After another restless night of Rhombulan nightmares... Spin had been walking Mac Anu early in the morning. The sunrise and the magical transformation of the place he had become well acquainted with by now hadn't been missed by this one. He stood still and watched it all with his mouth slightly agape. Words were left unsaid as he felt like he had been intruding on something he wasn't suppose to see.

But the NPCs seemed less mystified by the event. Spin took the ship to the island and when he disembarked, he found himself in green swim trucks with a green inner tube around his waist. A lot of this was like the vacation he took with his family... in appearance... That vacation had been months ago by now. The realization had hit hard since the days had merged together for Spin, only becoming more specific when he looked up the date with his Relic ( ... )

Silabus had headed to the island a bit earlier, wandering around with a wide smile. He rarely got to go to the beach in real life, since Japanese beaches weren't as sunny or exciting, and he usually opted to spend his free time playing The World. Maybe that would change, whenever they managed to "go home". For all he knew it was like the last time, where he was already home-- just asleep with his headset on. And while days passed inside of the game, it was really only a few minutes in their actual world.

When he passed by another player, he heard a song he was familiar with and turned, smiling-- oh, he'd met this person before, hadn't he? "Is that an American song?"

Silabus had ended up in a modest green wet suit with short sleeves and knee-length legs, almost without noticing.

"Huh?" Spin turned around to see Silabus, Canard's guild leader. They hadn't talked much since Spin first joined Canard, but he saw him from time to time at the guild. "Hey, Silabus." He waved and came closer.

The hints of familiarity with the piece brought a smile to Spin's face. "Yeah, do you know the Beach Boys? It's one of their songs." The Macabre Dancer thought they fit the atmosphere of the place nicely.

Of course! It was Spin. He almost didn't recognize him out of Mac Anu and his regular gear. "I can't say I do! But American music is always really upbeat and fun, I like it. I don't understand half of it, but I guess I just have to study harder, haha. It's an older song, isn't it?"

X had been having trouble sleeping again once more, so he had been out and about when the sun started rising. Needless to say, with how it usually was here in the World, X had been shocked, and stopped to watch it amazedly. It was beautiful, and had been well worth the insomnia for the early part of the morning.

Figuring it was another event, he had gone to the field the NPCs were chatting about, and was pleasantly surprised again. His usual outfit was gone once more, leaving him in a pair of flipflops and blue swim trunks and nothing else, though considering it was a day at the beach, that wasn't surprising. Perhaps the main thing, however, was the fact that it hadn't let him keep a shirt of any kind; on his chest and his back, lined up perfectly, were two large, circular scars, and very nasty looking ones at that. From the size of them, whatever had caused it must have been very painful.... if not outright close to fatal ( ... )

Always early to rise, Amaterasu had taken to gathering within the crowd of Mac Anu to watch the sunrise. It had been nothing short of beautiful - the way it reflected off of the water, lit up each and every building of the town almost as if it was something that it did everyday. But the NPCs murmur's had brought Amaterasu's attention back to the present and their words had eventually led her to the harbor.

And that was how she had found herself in a red-mixed-white bikini after stepping off of the ship. The amount of skin being shown was of little concern to her; there was nothing wrong with being as bare as this, with the red markings on her body now plainly visible to the naked eye. The layers of clothing and armor she wore usually had kept them hidden ( ... )

Gauche had also enjoyed the sunrise from the fountain, although in the later hours approaching noon, he'd ducked under some shade provided by shops in the square before he headed off for the ship as well. He was always excited to find new places, able to take the time to explore them now. If only he could take his sister or Lag Seeing to see them as well-- perhaps even Aria and Dr. Thunderland. No doubt they'd all find something to do.

As the letter bee stepped off of the boat after enjoying a short cruise from the shade provided on deck, he found himself in a dark pair of pinstripe board shorts and while he was a bit awkward without his thick layers and hat, the game seemed fit to provide him with an alternative. There were an array of scars over his lean frame, but he seemed to pay them no heed, nor did they bring him any embarrassment. It was simply something that happened in his line of business.

It was difficult to not spot Amaterasu, all long limbs, white hair, and bright red markings to go with her bathing suit. Gauche ( ... )

It was hard to ignore the sound of her name being called and Amaterasu lowers her head for a moment, giving it a small tilt in Gauche's direction. The entire jump from the splashing waves and the noise he makes does not go by unnoticed or unheard; it seems to take her by surprise - after all, it happened so suddenly - and with the way her ears flatten against the back of her head seems to signify as such ( ... )

The letter bee wrung out his swim trunks and shook his legs off a little uncertainly, fixing the ocean with a wary stare as he took a few steps further up the shore ( ... )

The four of them had their own reasons for getting up as early as they did. Heading out to catch the sunrise was certainly not a reason for any of them to get up; that was a luxury for most of them and there was always something to be done at the church, at the military base, in Neo Arcadia. Not to say they hadn't seen it; just that they'd never had the time or place to properly appreciate it. There was always something interfering.

So, perhaps, that having spent several months of seeing nothing but twilight was enough for them to take notice of how everything took on a different feel when the sun rose instead of set. For three of them, it was seeing the world as it could be- as it should be ( ... )

Of course, having been looking through all of the shacks curiously to see what all was offered, it wasn't too long before X spotted the familiar look of the green birdie. He'd managed to find almost all of what he was looking for, and it was almost hilariously bizarre to see what seemed to be a grown man holding a small plastic pail and bucket.

Figuring the boat ride probably hadn't been much fun -- or that Harpuia likely hadn't wanted to be near the ocean at all -- X put a gentle hand on the other's shoulder after coming up to him, giving a cheerful smile.

"Harpuia."

Normally, being on an island surrounded by water would not bother Harpuia. Really. He could just fly off or transport off or, in a worst case scenario, call Aztec Falcon for a ride off the stupid piece of land. Here in The World though, the Guardian didn't have that luxury and the knowledge of that one simple fact had him on edge. When he felt a hand on his shoulder, Harpuia just about bolted.

"... Master X."

"Sorry," came the apology, X removing the offending hand and scratching the back of his neck with a sheepish smile. Obviously, scaring the bejeezus out of Harpuia wasn't what he intended, but he admittedly hadn't expected the Guardian to be that on edge.

"Are you all right?" If nothing else, maybe he could help calm down the flitty bird. Or at least distract him somewhat.
