event eleven | when the guilds of summer are gone

SUMMARY | It's time for another event! There's a large ship docked in the Mac Anu harbor that all of the NPCs are talking about, saying that if you board it, you'll experience a taste of summer.
LOG | The players that tended to sleep in may not have noticed at first, but any early birds would have experienced the annual sunrise in Mac Anu. It only happens once a year, where the sun properly rises in the east and lights up every last crevice in the cobblestones. The town had an entirely different feel-- cheerier, more upbeat than usual with proper sunlight. The true colors of every last brick were brought into the light, colors not seen before in the ruddy hues of sunset. Everyone was out that day, which made the streets a bit crowded.
If anyone heeded the NPC advice floating around the town and headed to the harbor, they'd find a large cruise ship ready to set sail as soon as it fills up. It's destination? A tiny island paradise not far from Mac Anu, but past the town's borders. Bungalows were set up, with a hammock hanging between every tree and twelve volleyball nets stretching out from the front porches to the shore of the beach. As soon as player step off the boat on the island, they'd find themselves in bathing suits of various styles and colors-- always age appropriate, of course. The GMs didn't like to bend the rules too far out of shape.
The GMs? Oh, you might spot one here and there inside the more popular hangouts, but for the most part it's aaaaaall you. There's plenty to do on the island to enjoy the surf and sun, and you can go to one of three shacks around the small island and find just about anything-- surfboards, boogie boards, water skis, steam-powered jet skis to go along with them, skimboards, sand castle buckets and molds, maybe even some spiked beverages if you're of age and ask just nicely enough.
So sit back, relax, and enjoy. Come sunset, a few scant NPCs will be dragging out the barbecue grills and getting dinner ready to go, and they'd certainly appreciate a hand. It seems most of them aren't very good at cooking this time around.
