CHARACTERS | any curious or brave adventurers! DATE | August 5th~7th RATING | PG SUMMARY | The Omega server has been 're-opened' to the public. Come explore...?
Amaterasu had come here out of curiosity, for the most part, but as soon as she had entered a sense of heavy discomfort settled itself upon her. It felt familiar in a sense that it was different from what she would have defaulted her thoughts of it being. She would not look into the darkness for fear of seeing things that would only come back to haunt her. She had already gazed into it enough upon arrival and did not like what she saw

Standing on the edge of the left platform, near the closed kiosk, is someone who would have probably disappeared into the background had his outfit not contained the red and white highlights that it did. Shadow had caught a glimpse of something in the distance, and despite this place reminding him of some messed up version of either Flame Core or the Black Comet, he couldn't help but stare out past the remnants of a pillar. Perhaps it would appear again...
Unlike either of those places though, where danger was everywhere, the sheer lack of anything to do was driving Shadow up the wall. That, and the knowledge that there was something over there. Mephiles couldn't possibly have come here. He had struck down the demonic shade and his so-called 'Father' both. But... He knew not if Mephiles had been killed in that last attack. If that monster was here
( ... )
Amaterasu stops short of the last step, foot hovering inches above it before she draws it back. This was definitely a surprise, the feeling feeling and it reflects in her eyes as she sets her gaze onto Shadow's form. She had not been expecting to find anyone else here.
But with the way his voice sounded here, it was almost hard to make out exactly what he was saying; the surprise from a moment ago fades, replaced by ever growing discomfort.
The darkness was almost too suffocating - nearly worse than any cursed zone - as she took the final step onto the platform. The most Amaterasu finds herself able to do is make a small sound of acknowledgment and a nod of her head in his direction in silent greeting.
He caught the greeting; despite the darkness being thick and heavy, he had been through something like this already. No, that wasn't right... Black Doom and Mephiles' influence had never been absolute. This felt more akin to the vacuum of space.
"Curious about this place as well?" he said slowly, making sure to keep his voice level and clear. Anything to offer some sort of distraction. If Amaterasu looks carefully, she'll notice that Shadow is holding a bottle of juice in his hand. Something he had picked up from one of the boxes.
Shortly after Spin appeared, another person walked through the Gate and stopped short. Hakuren wasn't quite as affected by the silence as Spin... Instead, it was the darkness that drew the apprentice Bishop's attention. It was always a bishop's duty to heal the souls of all people in Barsburg, to save them from the darkness and Verloren's clutches. Then there was the Bishop Exam at the Church, where one had to face their fears and the darkness within their own soul.
Perhaps, if he had not passed the exam, Hakuren would have faltered now.
But instead of retreating, the blond boy stood up straight and took a couple of steps further into the area before he heard the soft (and slightly fearful) call of the Macabre Dancer. He calmly walked over to Spin before simply holding his hand out for the other.
"Don't be afraid. You're not alone," he smiled, remembering something from the time of the exam, "my hand will always reach you."
Not hearing the world, not hearing Hakuren's melody... Spin wanted to cover his ears, like it would somehow keep away the silence. Then Hakuren spoke and held out his hand. It sounded like a gesture or saying from his world. Wherever it came from, it was working. And not being alone... that was something the EBA tried to pass on to their targets. It was easier with someone with you. Spin nodded and followed. He was an Agent, one that helped push back silence to let the Music play one more. He could do this. One step at a time.
"... Hakuren, this..." His voice sounded abnormally quiet, even when he wasn't trying to be. "This isn't right..." Whatever "right" was, he didn't know. But this was something that seemed wrong.
Spin reached for his Relic to try and pull up a map of the area, but everything appeared garbled. He frowned. "I think my Relic's broken."
Not quite... More of a reassurance from one comrade to another than an actual saying. Despite the darkness pressing on him from all sides, Hakuren felt that this was simply another test from God. If he could not overcome this, then he was not worthy of becoming a bishop.
"..." and that prompts Hakuren to pull out his own Relic and reveal absolutely nothing. Well, other than the warp menu, but even then the only thing that could be selected from the that menu was the other server. "Not completely broken, but we won't be able to call for help," he frowned, "or fight. Our weapons are locked."
He replaced the Relic at his side before he took another look around. There was nothing here... nothing bar two other platforms and the disorienting view.
"Spin," Hakuren started as he turned to face the Agent, "I understand if you wish to return to Mac Anu. I wouldn't want you to force yourself to come here if you feel uncomfortable."
Yuuta never played much games before (he kind of lost his taste in them after what had happened 2 years ago. Saving the world? Heroes? They only reminded him of leaving Taisuke behind.) But he was familiar enough with the concept that understanding The World wasn't very difficult. So the moment he saw mention of treasure he immediately went off to explore the new server.
When the Chaos Gate warped him to the new server, the first thing he noticed was the eerie silence. Yuuta rubbed his arms. It was kind of freaking him out.
Looking around, he quickly assessed the area. Even though it seemed like his comrade abilities were still intact after his transportation to The World, he hoped he wouldn't get attacked by anything. Though despite his wariness, he can feel a sense of excitement welling up inside him. This is like before.

Takeshi had come in a few minutes earlier. Sure, while the whole place looked creepy, and scary and absolutely horrifying, it didn't stop him to wander around and look for, well, food. He found juice, instead. Boxes and boxes of them on one of the platforms that looked pretty dangerous and about to collapse. But so did the stairs and they haven't collapsed yet, so there shouldn't be anything he should worry about, right?
So there he was, raiding a box full of fruity juices when he noticed someone coming from the stairs. Juggling two of the juices (it was apple and lemon), he watched wit curiosity. Maybe they owned this juice stand?

As he made his way to the top of the steps he noticed someone collecting boxes on the platform. That was weird. Unless those boxes were the treasure he saw mentioned. Yuuta squints a bit but he couldn't really tell what the boxes were supposed to be so he ran up the last few steps.
"What are you doing?" he asked the guy who was collecting the boxes, which he could now make out to be juice boxes. What a dopey looking person, he thought now that he got a good look at him. Then again, you couldn't really tell with people so Yuuta hung back a little just in case Juice Box Collector decided he was an easy target and attacked him.
