*hugs*

I tend to be more of the type of person that holds people at arm's length until they prove themselves, which is terrible, but I've been burned too many times in the past with people just up and ignoring me after years of friendship because they've apparently moved on.

People are such fickle beings, :/

Some people are just that way, I don't think your friend intentionally doen't show interest in your suggesstions, I just think some people push their interests onto others but never care about other peoples interests. One of my best friends is that way, he makes me do all sorts of things and it's like pulling teeth for me to get him to do something I think he would enjoy. I've learned to deal with it, but occassionally we fight about that very thing. I feel like I give give give and he takes takes takes. Anyhow, try not to take it personal. I am sure the things you suggest are not boring! I wish I could have came outa my shell in high school and talk to you, I know I used to see you in the halls with some anime shirt on and think to myself how cool you must be. Eh ( ... )

Friendship is a beast, honestly. I don't think anyone gets it right because there is no right and wrong. No set value on what it should be. People meeting people. Easy right? In theory. But so much can go wrong and the tenuous bonds are just that, tenuous and easily broken like spun sugar.
