Well we hit a minor hiccup, in that someone suggested we wait until the second season of PSU plays and produce Saugatuck under those auspices. Today we finalized it. Its going to happen, I am going to get to direct my first full length play, with a pretty fabulous cast i hope. I did kindof a smarmy thing and didn't hold auditions, I just emailed the people I want to be in it. I hope that works out well. Adam died last week. We weren't close. I didn't even really like the guy. But him dying was an important event. My childhood was largly spent with a community of people who I am no longer in any sort of regular contact with. Thats pretty sad to me. Here I sit, amidst the volumous collection of books imprisoned by the behemouth that is the Umass Library. I look at all of the things my friends have wriiten, and realize that I am really out of touch with what is going on in their lives. It's strange to be all the way across the country from the strong foundation I built in Oregon. I miss them dearly, which is really weird, because I don't often miss people. Well, thats it. The session is over. The kids have all gon back to their regular lives. The Student leaders have either made up the piles of homework that awaited them or, if they are like me, the haven't made any of it up, and in the long run, the grand scheme of things it has really had no effect on their lives what so ever.
