I know this literary project is quite odd thing for Russian readers,
the authors (we) themselves cannot to reach agreement of what is the genre and are parameters (i.e. the canon of duponism).
(yes, the duponisms sounds quite oddly)

I attempted to select the most suitable for translation...
Indeed, some sense layers are lost during a translation,

however, I'm burning with curiosity - how does it look and sound in English? Is there potential for the attempts of translation into English? Or does this project fall down in "a black hole" - in the emptiness between English genres, literary traditionals etc?

well for someone (like me) who loves playing with words and phrases when they are free of context, yes, there is reward, the game is almost Borgean!:))

But of practical use/application? Hmmm, of that i am not sure and am certainly not qualified to judge... you need a real expert, i am more of a linguini than a linguist!:))

If believe to a legend of Duponist movement, this "titles" are destined for the naming of yet unnamed things, phenomena etc. Anyone can take some duponism... and name with it his book or film, instance.
Specifically, it looks just like a publishing of the book of duponisms plus some art-actions.

Yet question that I'd like to ask:
in these lines, are there inexact using of "the" and "a"?
Maybe, are there places, where the playing of words is broken? In only gramma sense?
(or inexact using of a word?)

А "Бронетёмкин Поносец" слабо перевести? ;)

Подойдёт что-нибудь вроде "выпитый всухомятку" или "откинусь-ка я на дуршлаг"?

слабо :) Сразу бросается в глаза непереводимость (по крайней мере для моих сил) слова "поносец". Неологизм. Который еще намекает на типично русскую форму слова с окончанием -носец.

А второй и третий, по-моему, можно было бы попробывать, потому что они играют со смыслом, а не с формой слов.

Свежемолотая чушь - Ground Crap

кстати, слово crap, - как, наверное, написали бы словари, "слово с ярко выраженной экспрессивностью", - нелитературное в англ. языке, но очень шерлокохолмсовское. В англ. субтитрах к нашему "Холмсу" переводчики так перевели реплику великого сыщика:

"Я провел ряд опытов и могу с уверенностью заявить: абсолютная чепуха"

Хотя sober здесь не правильное слово. В англ. языке (как подсказывает мне словарь) есть разделение понятие "трезвый" - на мысль и человека. sober - относится к человеку.

I agree in this collection there are very clear for an English reader, because they have as if the "international" roots.

hmm... my vocablury gives a word "poultry" as "домашняя птица", "птица". And "poulty farm" is "птицеферма".

Honestly, I don't know. The matter is that if analyse ALL duponist collection, it's see that "duponism" doesn't fit in only genre definition.
For example, my most favourite duponism by Francois Dupont is
"дети хорошо переносят бессмертие" (“…children endure immortality very well…”). Is it a pun? I'm not sure...
