Today I cycled 40 miles in 3:02h. I've now cycled over 100 miles in the last seven days.

I've still got a long way to go, but I'm feeling good about it, especially since I ended up at the ER on Wednesday night with a suspected broken rib. Fortunately that turned out to only be bruised.

I've steadily increased my cycling since I got my bike. First a gentle 4 miles, then 6 miles then 8. Today I cycled just over 16 miles in a fraction over an hour and a quarter. I'm happy with that given 90% of the cycle was in a thunderstorm ( Read more... )

My knees are feeling a bit sore today...

Yesterday I got out and did my six miles on the bike just after 9. We rested for a bit then went into town for brunch with friends.

After that, I took Eilidh in the car for a while to let her nap, before heading into the Shenandoah National Park to meet friends for a short 2 mile hike. Eilidh had a great time ( Read more... )

6 miles on the bike. 33 minutes. I did have to stop for three school buses, so I'd probably have made it inside my target 30 minutes without those stops.
