Who the hell thought that giving mortals powers was a good idea? They are mortals for a reason, after all.

There I was minding my own business in Gondor. I was there looking for ways to exploit sightseeing when suddenly I wake up in the two-bit pyramid prison created by a Maia wanna-be.

Note that elves were given the powers too. Not all of them are mortal. Earwen and Nimrodel are elves I believe.

Apparently "elves aren't what they used to be" so perhaps mortal just refer to everyone that's inferior and includes everyone in Middle Earth.

And yes, I am an elf.
