I love getting parcels! I just picked up my CD of Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency, and on reading the booklet I found that it has an extra hour of material that they couldn't squeeze into the broadcast. *wins*

The Flying Scotsman DVD was in the same parcel, so I'm going to have a very Billy weekend.

*wanders off, humming happily*

I was hoping to get to the Loft gig on 12th October, but that's not going to happen, so if anyone can get photos and/or video that would be fantastic. And it's a good cause as well.

kiltsandlollies posted a link to this book (narrated by Billy!) on audible.com, but I didn't like the amount of information they wanted from me (why do they need a street address for a download?), so I went searching elsewhere and found that you can buy the CD set from Amazon UK for GBP 11.82 (less VAT if not in UK, plus P&P). My copy's already on its way ...

I missed Billy's birthday. :( Not that I should be surprised - I miss everybody's birthday (including, on occasions, my own). I'm glad to see that there were picspams aplenty though, and I hope he had a very happy day ( Read more... )

I just got back from seeing "The Flying Scotsman" in the cinema - I really liked it. It's always difficult to get good dramatic pace in a true-story film, but they did very well with this one. I liked that the serious issues were raised but not wallowed in, and the triumphs were there but they weren't over the top. I thought JLM did a great job ( Read more... )
