Ever had a flood of nostalgia triggered by a song you don't know?

So I just downloaded Visage's Fade to Grey.  I am fairly sure the first time I ever heard this song was a week ago.  But it took me right back to 1982

I loved Fade to Grey despite it not having the angry punk beat I was listening to in those days. I'm surprised you didn't hear it back then though - it got a lot of play.

I have bad reactions to a certain type of rap "music"; Takes me right back to high school/college, and makes me wish I knew then what I know now.
I'm not sure that counts as nostalgia though; More like a 'Nam flashback

I’ve had that experience, it was so weird. I heard a song called These Dreams, I think it’s by Heart, about four years ago. In a flash, I was seven years old again, listening to Dad reading me Prince Caspian, the scene where Caspian’s fleeing the palace through the dark trees. To this day, every time I think of that song I see Caspian. So strange, but very cool.
