The old man turns 24 today. Just one more year till we can rent our own U-Haul!!!

I'm baking him a rum cake by the way. I'm a little nervous because I've never baked anything without parental supervision, and never in an apartment with limited supplies. I actually had a dream about eating some last night, so hopefully that's a good omen.

It's wierd all around. I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I can't quite sort out my feelings. But it's strange to come back to Seattle and nothing has changed. Everyday, twice a day, I drive by this really old Hostess Cakes factory. I would swear it was abandoned or condemned except every once in a while I can get a waft of yummy-smelling baked goods. I think I love Vancouver and Seattle both equally. My whole family and our horses and puppies are down there and I miss them a lot when I'm up here. But Seattle is freaking awesome and I love my job and hanging around with the sculptors.
