In the morning, Ichigo was up early and ready to go. He slung his knapsack with the last of his possessions over his shoulder and left without a backward glance. Renji followed silently, nursing a hangover but still smiling beneath the dark sunglasses shading his vision.

I'm really pleased that the metamorphosis was so gripping - I tried to make it really intense and I guess I succeeded. :)

Waking up to Renji's lips wrapped around any part of you would be pure heaven. *melts* And sleeping entwined together, GUH! That just gets me, every time. I'm a pathetic, wibbly fangirl... and I'm ok with that. :D

You are SO welcome, if there were better words I could think of to describe the rollercoaster of my emotions and thankfulness when reading this story I would use them! I'm never eloquent, but I think at least some of the enthusiasm came across. :D ♥

With the amount of fics I've read in-between installments of this one there's a lot of general mash running around my head but I'm gonna leave a comment with as much as I remember. It's almost a given I'll re-read this from start to finish again all in one go so you'll probably get another comment very soon :p

But anyways. Like I've said countless times before, I just can't believe how smoothly you write. Even the time and scene shifts seem to just flow from one to the other without confusion and general "where are we again?"-ness

I wish there'd been more Rukia, too. There just wasn't room, though. =/ I had a whole pile of ideas for scenes, but when it came to piecing things together, all the little extra bits seemed like distractions from the main storyline, and the threads got lost in the shuffle. I'm quite sad about that, actually. But that's ok... there's quite a lot more Rukia in the third story. :)

Sappiness... well I did what I could to keep them in character, and then I had to improvise the rest. We really don't know how they'd act in this type of situation, and while I don't think they'd be total saps, I know for darned certain that almost everyone is a little smushy with their lover, so I can get away with some of it. :P I tried to show a balance of different aspects of their personality - squabbling, angry, humourous, emotional, romantic, etc., while still remembering that part of the plot in the story was how they learned to be really together. If canon ever contradicts me on how the guys act in love, I'll try

Well, like I said, I have issues with sap no matter who's spilling it. So really, it was probably at a good level. Just don't trust the judgment of someone who's biased on that side of things :p

(dude, pet peeve or not, I will call them 'boys'. I call the Winchesters 'boys' and they're both older than me. It's just one of my habits, so there.)

Mmm tatts. I still haven't got mine and I was supposed to get it on my 18th b'day. You know, a whole almost two years ago. I will get one this year!

Definitely a third story in the series. I'm working on it now. :) It'll be a while before it's ready, 'cause it's still in the 'notes and scenes' stage, but I think it'll be worth the wait! And it's going to eat my life again, I just know it, lol! No matter how many times I say it won't be like before, I know it will. :P *hooks Cheza along for the ride* Fwee!

Oh, my emotions, they are in the tight, twisted confused ball that always happens at the end of a good story! One part hating the fact that the end has come, the other sighing in happiness at the resolution.

And oh, the picture. *I finally got to see the tattooooooooooos!*
(Oh, I know what you mean about the picture in your head, and not being able to get it out - I even have that problem with words sometime, and I can't draw a katana to save my life, which makes me want to cry out loud.)
It was actually kinda weird seeing it in picture format, because I had already seen it in my head, as you had painted it so lovingly with words.

You know, as much as I am going to enjoy the next in the series, I would be seriously happy and content if it just ended here. There's so much angst and unresolution out there (in RL, fic and other media) that it's just so *happy* to see things end well like this.

Ohh I love and hate that feeling, all at once! I hate tearing myself out of a great story, but at the same time I really love when a story lets me have that happy sigh at the end. I know exactly what you are talking about, and I am thrilled to pieces that my story gave you that feeling.

The picture is just... guh! Awesome doesn't even begin to describe it. *stares at it some more* I'm pleased that you felt I painted the picture clearly with my words. It was a struggle not to be too detail finicky and still describe the scene properly.

I totally agree! Unresolution sucks. It's a bit of a giveaway for anything I ever will write in the future, but anyone who has read my fics should be able to tell that I'm not the kind of person to build something up and then knock it down and leave it in pieces. Like, if I'd stopped this story at Chapter 14. That'd just be wrong. :P

It took 2 days entire days to get that pic out of her head and onto my paper in the form of a rough sketch!
