Hi, happy to see you are back! As for the commentary - I love "DVD extras" like that. You put them at the end so anybody who likes to read first and form his own interpretations can read them afterwards to see what was your intention about your writing or skip it altogether. So, if you have fun doing that, I'm all for it. Best wishes for your health - I think it's awesome you manage to write with two children and not feeling well.
Thank you! And I owe that to Maz. I complain about him a lot but he's a real gem when it comes to respecting my physical boundaries and my need to write. :)
And it would be a bit like DVD extras, wouldn't it? Haha. I'd definitely try not to spoil anything but only address a topic that's come up in reviews and/or something of note from the chapter I just posted. IDK. Just put in SOMETHING to interact with people, haha. :)
Oh, definitely. I wouldn't put in spoilers for future chapters (although this time there was a small one, I suppose, about the importance or lack thereof of a minor character). I'd only talk about stuff that's already come up in that chapter or random general writing things.
I'd never be one to say, "Oh, and don't worry, next chapter they will have wild and passionate sex in the Forbidden Forest while Sleighted Secondary Love Interest has to watch, you're gonna love it!" (btw not going to happen in... probably any of my fics ever, haha)
Oh I didn't mean you'd put spoiler spoilers in! I should've clarified, I was really talking about the little preview bits like the ones you put in the bracelet? It's a personal thing, I just tend to prefer to stew over the chapter without any inkling of what'll happen next.
I actually loved the note after 2. chapter of Secrets, since it addressed some questions bubbling in my head as well. Also, I love reading stuff like that.
When it comes to previews, I really do not need them, especially when it concerns fics I'm really interested in. I'll definitely read those, no matter what.
Well, I simply saw no use in putting something there that might annoy people more than interest them. So far it looks like people are coming down on the side of interest, though, which is good.
And I definitely wouldn't let readers dictate the story. Good grief, then it would be an entirely different story! Haha.

And I like making previews, usually, because it's a way to tease readers and a way to maybe draw people in that can otherwise take it or leave it. ;)
