Mother Nature dumped a good foot of snow on my hometown this week. Boy, are my arms sore from shoveling so much snow. It's that time of year once again. Just when the weather is finally getting nice and sunny...and we get tornado outbreaks across the States. We've already had some devastating storms in OK and TX, and the season's just beginning.

It snowed last night. We got a good five or so inches of slushy, yucky, heavy snow in our yard, all that has since been shoveled out of the way. TV forecasts claim next week’s temperatures will be in the 60’s, so today’s mess will probably be melted away this time next week. Mother Nature, you are strange.

Hurricane Irene is gone (but her aftermath is far, far from over across the northeast). But just when I thought I could put my mind at ease, the weather reports are chronicling one, two...THREE MORE HURRICANES!! O_O
