Fanfiction Progress: February 2014
Mother Nature dumped a good foot of snow on my hometown this week. Boy, are my arms sore from shoveling so much snow. But I can’t complain too much; I got a snow day/day off from work because of the weather. It sucks that I don’t get paid days off, but I really did need a break this week. I caught some sorta’ flu bug last weekend and had chills, nausea, headaches…quite miserable, to make a long story short. But I caught up on sleep, rested, and by today I feel much better. :) Things happen for a reason sometimes, I suppose.
Even better, I actually got some writing done on my day off-2 little Kuroshitsuji one-shots, to be precise! I reiterate; they’re small stories (one is actually a “drabble,” my very first! I’m quite proud of it, too), but considering my writer’s block of late this is a breakthrough. Both are romance stories, too; one for Grell/Sebastian and the other Grell/Undertaker. :3 Maybe all the Valentine’s Day goodness had something to do with it. Plus, I’m still feeling pretty pleased with the Grell/Sebastian fanart I drew for a Valentine’s contest on DeviantArt (even though I doubt it’ll win, it’s the first fanart I’ve drawn in a while that I’ve taken significant pride in). Ah, love is in the air~!
Story-wise, nothing’s quite ready to be published yet, but the fact that I actually wrote (never mind finished) something is a major confidence-boost. Here’s to hoping the upward climb from my previous slump will continue in the right direction.
And on that note, one big thank you to my friends who’re supporting me. The biggest credit goes to you guys, no doubt in my mind. Love ya!
