Mother Nature, This Is Madness!
Hurricane Irene is gone (but her aftermath is far, far from over across the northeast). But just when I thought I could put my mind at ease, the weather reports are chronicling one, two...THREE MORE HURRICANES!! O_O
We’re currently getting the finale of Hurricane Lee, resulting in more flooding (as if Irene didn’t leave enough water. And go figure! Isn’t Texas in dire need of rain right now? Why can’t Mother Nature spread her love more evenly?). Next up are Hurricanes Katia, Maria, and Nate (I think those are their names, anyway. Damned if I’ll be able to keep track of all these hurricanes @_@). Currently, Katia is expected to get pushed out to see due to Lee currently hogging us (blessing in disguise, perhaps?). But Maria and Nate are the next worries.
Now, I know it’s hurricane season and we have to expect, well, hurricanes! But I can’t recall a hurricane season as destructive and wild as this one in quite some time. These storms are relentless. It’s hard to watch the weather reports because they’re hell-bent on scaring everybody to the nuthouse!
My continued prayers to everyone in the paths of hurricane season 2011. Things have to get better soon!
