Day 1: So late to the party, but that's just fashionable, right?

NK and I kicked off our Advent tonight by watching "It's a Wonderful Life."

Now, I hadn't seen the film before. I know! I'm clearly wrong in the head (he definitely thought so) and NK was determined that it would be the first one we watched on the run up to Yule.

That's so fabulous. I mean, I'd heard that lots of people loved the film, but I sort of expected a kind of overly sickly sweeet film, you know? And it WAS sweet and lovely - but in that perfect way instead. :DDDD

I LOVE THIS MOVIE. like, yes, exactly, you get the basic plot by osmosis and you THINK you'll be all jaded or whatever, but it's SO AWESOME, and I literally JUST NOW got teary over "I just heard that George Bailey was in trouble" and just - yes. THIS. GREAT MOVIE HI!

I hate that film and I hate George. I hate them like I hate the colour pink or the abomination that is putting milk in tea. Feel free to judge me! I revel in my hate! And I forget what it is that I hate about them because I refuse to rewatch the film, but there was clearly something. Um.
