Day 1: So late to the party, but that's just fashionable, right?

NK and I kicked off our Advent tonight by watching "It's a Wonderful Life."

Now, I hadn't seen the film before. I know! I'm clearly wrong in the head (he definitely thought so) and NK was determined that it would be the first one we watched on the run up to Yule.

Don't tell cat (because it will spoil my rep as a curmudgeon), but Mr L and I have a tradition of watching It's a Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve and we cry every single time.

That's so fabulous. I mean, I'd heard that lots of people loved the film, but I sort of expected a kind of overly sickly sweeet film, you know? And it WAS sweet and lovely - but in that perfect way instead. :DDDD
